Peacock Bass Fishing
Marc’s love for peacock bass fishing began in 2002 when he was hired to host trips for Rio Negro Tourism / Amazon Tours Brazil, the pioneer of peacock bass fishing in Brazil. His expertise quickly led to his promotion as operations manager for the Rio Negro Lodge and the Amazon Queen II. In 2009, Marc founded Amazon Xtreme Fishing Adventures and spent several summers managing the Aniak River Lodge in Alaska from 2010 to 2013.
Now, Marc seamlessly blends his love for the Alaskan wilderness with his passion for the Amazon’s untamed beauty, creating a perfect balance between these two remarkable destinations. His extensive customer service and operational experience make him a uniquely skilled host and guide, known for his ability to ensure world-class fishing trips for every guest.

A Little History
From Galapagos to The Amazon
Early Life & Cultural Journey
Born on the remote Galapagos Island of San Cristobal (then a small community of just 780 people), Capt. Marc's journey began in one of the world's most unique natural environments. He later moved to Southern California, where he spent his formative years, before relocating with his family to Manaus, Brazil, in 1998.
It was there that his deep connection to Brazilian culture, people, and the wonders of the Amazon Rainforest began. With a natural sense of adventure, Marc quickly ventured into eco-tourism and private, custom-tailored rainforest tours, immersing himself in the pristine wilderness of the Amazon.
Experience as a Nature Guide
Marc's passion for the Amazon flourished as he worked as a nature guide, hosting travelers from around the world who sought unforgettable rainforest adventures. Over time, he gained an intimate knowledge of the Amazon's ecosystems and rich biodiversity.
